Growing up on a family farm, Lawrence Dunning was inspired by his father’s garden and his mother’s knack for turning the fresh produce and livestock into incredible tasting meals. Lawrence took this inspiration and later attended the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. After graduating, he went on a culinary journey which included international apprenticeships, positions at well-known restaurants in foodie destinations such as San Francisco and Napa, and ultimately opened his own successful restaurants. While years spent in the restaurant world provided a valuable and fast-paced experience, Lawrence enjoys a more peaceful life balance in the later years of his career - cooking good food in the place he calls home, hanging with family, and spending time in Tahoe’s magnificent outdoors.
