Therapeutic Support

Lake Tahoe Prep is a true ‘hybrid’ co-ed boarding school for grades 9-12.  We offer college-preparatory academics, numerous electives, and a robust outdoor activity program. With small class sizes of no more than 7 students, an academic learning support center, staffed by special education teachers, and a full-time clinical team, our goal is to provide support and scaffolding to our students wherever they are in the academic journey. Our students are bright, sensitive, and creative, and many have successfully completed a residential treatment program and are ready for a step-down school. With rolling enrollment, we can meet our students where they are in their high school careers.

Lake Tahoe Preparatory School recognizes the impact of our students’ emotional growth and teenagers’ unique challenges. Our focus is on the social, psychosocial, and educational development of each student, with the goal of obtaining a college preparatory high school diploma and having the tools to excel in all areas of the future.

Lake Tahoe Preparatory School is a supportive community with numerous staff and faculty members living on campus. Constant interaction, supervision and guidance assist students in building self-esteem, addressing their concerns/needs, and helping to foster success.
